This is a series meant to help you find the best of the best in lounges everywhere. Our 12-year-old, Jack has become a lounger-extraordinaire. He knows how to get the most out of any lounge experience and always manages to get our full money’s worth out of any visit. As a result, we have come up with a lounge rating system according to our very discerning lounge critic. Enjoy, and may you too achieve lounge nirvana!

Edinburgh Airport
No. 1 Lounge
By Gate 16
(Priority Pass)
What’s not to love about Scotland? Even their airport lounges are top notch. You need to put this one on your list of lounges to visit for sure!
Ambiance-5

According to Jack this lounge was, “a real classy joint”. A man at the check-in counter took us to a table and we were given a menu. In all our lounging this has never happened.
Bathrooms-3
The bathrooms were nice and very clean but the fact that they didn’t offer any urinals brought them down a couple of points. Mom on the other hand, was very impressed by the complementary L’Occitane soap and lotion.
Comfort-4

Sometimes getting detailed descriptions from Jack can be a bit of a challenge. He gave this lounge’s comfort rating of 4 because, and I quote, “it was pretty comfortable”. That’s all you’re going to get on this one folks, sorry!
Sustenance-5
Jack was very impressed that we got to order our food from a menu. This is a big step above the usual buffet-style food you get in most lounges. He also liked the fact that although you ordered from a menu, there were other food options available as well. In addition, the macaroni and cheese was “to die for”. Wow!
Oh I so wish we were going again this summer!!
