This is a series meant to help you find the best of the best in lounges everywhere. Our 12-year-old, Jack has become a lounger-extraordinaire. He knows how to get the most out of any lounge experience and always manages to get our full money’s worth out of any visit. As a result, we have come up with a lounge rating system according to our very discerning lounge critic. Enjoy, and may you too achieve lounge nirvana!

Cambodia-Siem Reap International Airport
Bangkok Airlines Lounge
Gate 1
Well, I suppose we were bound to find a lounge Jack didn’t like at some point. The airline was kind enough to offer us complementary lounge passes, but sometimes even free privileges won’t impress this tough lounge critic.
Ambiance-1
Jack was very disappointed that “nothing really matched” in this lounge. In addition, the blue, brown, and white color palate was not very appealing.
Bathrooms-n/a
Yet another lounge without bathrooms. This was very disappointing for all of us. It’s a great privilege to be able to use private, clean bathrooms in lounges and when a lounge does not provide them, it’s a bummer.
Comfort-2
Unfortunately, the comfort score also took a hit in this review. According to Jack, “some couches look pretty comfortable but the wicker chairs aren’t that comfortable”.
Sustenance-1
This was the first lounge in which Jack refused to try any of the sustenance options offered. He was disappointed that there were not that many options, and the options that were offered were a bit strange in his mind.
Ah, there you are! Have missed seeing you on here. 🙂

I have loved Jack’s “Lounge Reviews”. Unfortunately, we are not lounge eligible. So I live vicariously through Jack’s posts.

I may not be lounge eligible either soon. Our traveling days are diminishing. 😦
